Roof Installation

New roofs built properly from the battens up

Complete new and replacement pitched roofs in tile and slate, built with quality materials and proper ventilation.

Overview

Roof Installation with GAC Roofline

A new roof is one of the biggest investments you'll make in your property, so it needs to be done properly. When a roof has reached the end of its life, with widespread slipped tiles, sagging, recurring leaks or failed underlay, a full replacement is often the most cost-effective long-term solution.

We strip the old roof covering back to the rafters and check the timbers, replacing any that are damaged. We then install a modern breathable membrane, new treated battens and your chosen covering, whether that's concrete or clay tiles, natural slate or a man-made alternative.

Every new roof includes properly detailed ridges, hips, valleys, verges and flashings, with ventilation designed to prevent condensation in the loft. Throughout the project we keep you updated, protect your property and leave the site clean at the end of every day.

FAQs

Roof Installation FAQs

Straight answers to the questions we're asked most often. Can't find what you're looking for? Just give us a call.

How long does a new roof take?

A typical house re-roof takes roughly one to two weeks, depending on the size of the roof, the materials chosen and the weather.

Can I stay at home during the work?

Yes. The vast majority of homeowners stay in their homes throughout, and we keep the roof watertight at the end of each day.

What roofing materials do you offer?

We install concrete and clay tiles, natural and synthetic slate, and can match existing materials on neighbouring properties or conservation areas.

Do I need planning permission for a new roof?

Like-for-like replacements usually don't require planning permission, but listed buildings and conservation areas can have restrictions. We'll advise before work begins.
